We hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving – even during this precarious season! My sister, Mary Ann, swung by Cracker Barrel and purchased three turkey dinners complete with pumpkin pie and brought them to our house yesterday! We had a wonderful time talking and laughing. Even though our kids and grandkids are spread far and wide and we miss them more than we can say, we are so thankful for the family (natural and spiritual) that we have close by.
The day is drawing nearer when I’ll have these drains removed. Monday, we return to Wilmington and I’ll feel like shouting, ”Free at last. Thank God, I’m free at last!” Ok, I’ll spare the medical staff and breathe a huge sigh of relief instead. I would like to ask for prayer for my left arm. Now that the anesthesia has worn off, I can feel the stitches from my incisions more keenly and my arm lacks the mobility that it had. I’ll be in rehab twice next week to loosen it up. The fun never ends! My main goal right now is taking back my health. There is always the work of the ministry that can’t be allowed to slide either. I am finding a balance between the two and I know, with your many, heartfelt prayers, I can attain both. I’m so thankful for my wonderful husband who helps me in more ways than I can count.
Today is Black Friday and folks are taking advantage of great deals. Maybe you’e one of those who don’t care to mingle with the masses while you shop. Due to the ongoing Pandemic, you may prefer to shop online. Did you know that you can shop on smile.amazon.com and that your shopping will benefit your favorite charity? You can find great deals and help Rehoboth at the same time if you so choose. Just look for Rehoboth Ministries, Inc., Jacksonville, NC. Amazon will walk you through it. That way, we can both benefit from your giving!
The holiday is over, but the act of giving thanks should be a daily ritual. As it’s been said, we should always have an attitude of gratitude. We give thanks to all our friends and donors for the continual love you show towards us.
