I just reread an article that our son, John, posted on his site, backtohaiti.com. I wanted to post it here for you to read as well. He gives you a good “up front” look into life in Haiti, yet a glimpse of hope concerning how Rehoboth Ministries is serving as a catalyst for good in the midst of very dismal surroundings. Haiti is not for the faint of heart. It’s not your typical ”idyllic” vacation spot. Yes, it has the beautiful beaches and mountains, but behind all this beauty is a culture whose brokenness is so deep that only God can heal it. The despair is palpable and has accelerated due to the Pandemic which has left many wondering how they will survive. But, we wouldn’t be there unless we believed God had sent us to raise up many sons and daughters for the Lord who have the capacity to be agents of change in an otherwise hopeless situation.
Please read John’s post and consider giving to the fundraiser we have going for our Bible institute. Out of the depths of sorrow, misery, and brokenness, something beautiful is going on. Tomorrow’s leaders are being trained and equipped to go and minister to the brokenhearted and to raise up a generation which can make an impact on their nation. Would you read this and make a contribution? Our goal is $20,000. But, no gift is too small.
