Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers-not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
Sunday morning, Pastor Lefort loaded up his entire family onto the seat of his motorcycle and took them to church. The car he normally uses has two flat tires and the money we sent hasn’t arrived yet. It would have been easy for them to have stayed home and just ask one of the other leaders in the church take the service. But, they were determined to set a good example for their two boys and their church members.
We are proud of our pastors and leaders. They take their work very seriously, even while Pastor Adams is away. Driving in from Petite-Anse (where their home is) to Sainte-Philomène was no small feat for the Lefort family. It meant weaving through much traffic as well as dodging both pedestrians and animals to get into the city. We thank the Lord for keeping them safe and for such devoted workers.
Would you remember all our pastors and leaders in your prayers while Prit takes this time to work through the maze of helping his mom with her financial affairs? Thanks!
