With all the outspoken comments from both sides concerning the sudden surge of Haitians migrating across the US border, this is a very enlightening commentary. John gives the perspective of someone who was born and reared in Haiti. He is well versed on Haitian history and the events that helped to make Haiti what it is today. I hope you will listen to get a clearer picture of why Haiti is the way it is. He sheds some light on some events that involve our own country and its interaction with Haiti which I feel will help you think through these present-day events. Things are not always as simple as they appear to be!
