I hardly know where to begin! There’s so much going on in Haiti lately as well as here on our end. All of it needs your prayers!

Haiti has been in turmoil again. There was an attempted coup on President Jovenel Moise’s life. Fortunately, it was unsuccessful. You can read the article above for more details. How does this affect the mission work going on in Haiti? Our schools have been closed since last week – elementary and Bible institute. Even though Cap-Haitian is on the other end of the island, far from the capital of Port-au-Prince, the whole country and its people are affected. This means the children who come for that all-important meal they get in school are sitting home hungry. We were soon to have much-needed food boxes brought down from the city of Archaïe where Children’s Lifeline is located. However, this is a good 6 hour drive one way on bad roads into the south of Haiti where it’s more volatile. In the light of the present circumstances, it’s too dangerous to be on the main road.

On our end: I (Dana) have my fourth and final round of chemo this coming Wednesday. I am just now getting my energy back from the last round, even though this Wednesday will make a total of four weeks. Everyone’s different, but chemo has been brutal for me. It requires every ounce of strength I have to do the simplest tasks. I am anxious for this phase of my life to be over.

Please remember to pray for the peace of Haiti, the missionary work that has been going on there, its law-abiding citizens, and the protection of President Moïse. Thank you for your prayers for me (Dana) as well. Your prayers mean everything!
