Hi Everyone, Thanks for your prayers for Prit and John’s luggage. It got to them yesterday evening while they were still in Fort Pierce, FL, and they were able to fly into Cap Haitian this morning with all their belongings.
Second Opinion
I think most of you know by now that I (Dana) have been diagnosed with breast cancer. I have an appointment at Duke Medical Center next Wednesday, Sept. 2, to get a second opinion. This meeting will be pivotal in deciding what my next step should be. I am in great need of your prayers. I have seen and experienced what the power of prayer can do. Also, pray for Dr. Shelley Hwang, the oncologist/surgeon who will be doing the consultation, that the Lord will illuminate her mind and give her divine wisdom in this case. Hi Dana; you’re going to a good place with Duke. At least it was 35 years ago when our son went there for open heart surgery. He was 16 and had a heart condition about which (at that time) very little was known. (Well, the cause was understood – just not how to fix it!) The Duke cardiology dept was doing pioneering work and we went there for his treatment. His was mostly successful given the limitations at the time and he later (20 years) went back for a re-do with the same surgeon because the condition had returned. That time was 100% success! We rate them top of the line for care, professionalism, and competence. We just don’t root for their basketball team! We’ll pray for you and look forward to a good report and optimistic outlook. God bless you and your family and stay in touch. Aloha, Maranatha, and Healing Blessings! Jim and ML
