Well, we are back stateside and thoroughly enjoying our home again and the myriad of choices here that one does not find in Haiti. We were supposed to fly out of Cap-Haitian at 2:30 on Monday, but our departure time was 4:30. When we arrived to Miami, we were directed to a different gate and sat on board for a good 45 minutes. By the time Prit and I made it through customs, retrieved our luggage, and got a bite to eat, we finally made it to our hotel room. We were so tired that we fell into the bed and didn’t awaken until morning.  Boy, we were glad to see Jacksonville on Tuesday morning! It took us two days just to catch up on our sleep. Guess we’re not spring chickens any more!

We are getting ready to go file our taxes and get that out of the way. We have a very important prayer need and we’re sharing this with you. The software that Prit uses to send a transfer to Haiti to pay salaries was changed. They require the security code from our bank and we don’t have it. Due to problems with fraud, the code could only be mailed to our stateside address. Even our bank representative couldn’t give it to us. Well, we waited the 6-8 days it takes to arrive and code never came. Another one has been mailed and it still hasn’t come. We have not sent the transfer for the May salaries which includes all the general salaries in addition to the Bible school’s professors’ salaries. Also, the students we are sending to the university have not received their money to cover gas and food. Then, there’s the money for the feeding of the kids. All this would be fine if one had a credit card or some other means to ”make do” in the meantime. However, our people are like the bird on the end of the branch teetering and tottering with nowhere else to turn. Prices continue to rise – from food to fuel – and our ministry is a lifeline to so many that we need a breakthrough! Please join us in prayer for this problem to be resolved. In just 10 days, we will owe another month’s salary to so many who have nowhere else to go and no one else to ask.
