We received some very sad news this morning. One of our most faithful and trusted leaders in Haiti has passed away. He was recently interned in the hospital with high blood sugar and we had been told that he was back home. Praying and hoping that this was only a setback from which he would recover, we were shocked to learn that he had passed on.

Ramcès Payoute
Ramses Payoute worked for Rehoboth Ministries for 31 years. He served on the church committee as the bookkeeper and oversaw the money which came into our main church from offerings supplied by its members, then presented us with a weekly report. He always had a second man with him to count the money, but Ramses was our chief financial officer. We are full of sorrow this day. He was a faithful member of our congregation and he left behind a spotless record. I remember hearing Prit say, ”I have never missed a dime with Ramses over the finances.” His faithfulness, wise counsel, and great attitude will be sorely missed. Our hearts go out to his wife and family during this time and we feel a great void in knowing that he is no longer among us and that we cannot be there to celebrate his homecoming. But, even through the tears, we can say, ”Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been received into your Heavenly home.” Our loss is Heaven’s gain. May the Lord raise up many more ”Ramceses” to serve Rehoboth Ministries in Haiti. Unfortunately, all our pictures are in Haiti and someone sent us this copy. It will have to do.
Would you remember his family in your prayers today? A mighty tree has fallen.

This is a great loss for you personally and for your ministry- praying that someone or several someones will pick up his mantle of faithfulness and integrity. So sorry- hope it helps to think on all the folks who greeted him once he crossed the river 💞

Thank you, Beth. He set a wonderful example for those who are still running the race. Pray especially for the family. They are pretty broken. I’ve cried off & on today knowing I won’t get to see him again & that we can’t be there for his ”send-off.” Yes, we can only imagine all who were waiting to greet him on the other side. Love you!
So saddened to hear of this loss. So happy to know that he is with Jesus.

Thank you, Bonnie.
So sorry to hear about this dear brother, whom I’m sure I met on one of my trips. Praying God’s comfort and grace to you, his family and the church.
Thank you, John. Yes, he was among our top leaders. He was quiet and listened more than he spoke. He finished well & we’re all sensing a great loss.
Our prayers are with you and his family and friends
