Needs Met

Yesterday, I wrote of some dire individual needs with which some of our Haitian friends are dealing with in Haiti. I had a dear friend respond to one of them. A co-worker who is putting together a book of songs that we translated into Creole over the last several years has had serious problems with his eyesight. In case you didn’t see yesterday’s post, his work on this songbook, in addition to his studies for an Agronomy degree, have been greatly altered by the limitations of his inability to see.

We are happy to say that a donor has given the amount of money he needs in order to get medication for his eyes, as well as purchase a pair of glasses! Would you pray that this will be suffiicient and that he will not need surgery? Also, you may want to check out yesterday’s post to see if any of the other needs touch your hearts to give.

I, Dana, am happy to say that my hubby is back home and it’s wonderful to have him by my side. Thursday, we will return to the doctor to find out what the scans I had on Tuesday will reveal. If the cancer has spread, they will not do a mastectomy, but start me on hormone therapy to curtail the production of estrogen in my body. If it has not spread, they plan to perform a mastectomy. Of course, you prayers and your messages of kind words are life to me. Thank you so much for your outpouring of love to me!
