Traveling

We’ve been up and down the road lately having fun visiting supporting churches and catching up with friends. Whew! Where has this summer gone? In exactly 20 days, we will be on a plane headed for the Annual MFI Conference in Portland, Oregon. We’ll go from there to Tacoma, Washington, to minister in Trinity Church. We can’t wait to see all our friends on the West Coast. After that, we will fly back to Haiti.
In August, we had a wonderfully refreshing time of fellowship and prayer with fellow ministers in the Southeast MFI Region in Clarksville, Virginia. After leaving Clarksville, we returned to Fayetteville for three days where a group of women leaders from Northwood Temple Church took me (Dana) out for lunch to the Olive Garden and bestowed me with all kinds of gifts for our home. Yay! We’ve also been to Morehead City to visit Impact Church and had a great time of visiting with Pastor Nelson and Vickie Hopkins. This past Monday evening, I spoke at a Women’s Aglow meeting in Mount Olive. What a blessed event and time of reuniting with these precious ladies. Afterwards, a friend took me (Dana) to an outlet in Goldsboro and loaded our car down with all kinds of things for our new home. Prit and I had just enough room to slip into the seats of our Toyota and drive back to Jacksonville.
Before leaving Goldsboro, however, we also visited with Pastor Mitch Ham at The Lord’s Table Church to discuss purchasing and sending a quality sound system to Haiti. (We sure need your prayers on that one!) This will require jumping some hurdles to get it all through customs in Haiti without it costing “an arm and a leg”. How very grateful we are for all the friends in the ministry that the Lord has given to us. Our cup runs over and our new home is shaping up. Prit and I are overwhelmed to see all the Lord has done in such a short time.
- A special thanks to all of you who purchased a Haiti bag. All proceeds go to the ladies who sewed them. 🙂
Next Week is Pivotal!
All three of our schools start back next week. Our faith is being s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d tremendously when it comes to providing on our end for the feeding program. Orphans Promise has already shipped in boxes of food, but we still need $3,100 (US) a month on our end to purchase gas tanks, pick up supplies at the marché, pay cooks’ salaries, and the list goes on…. We truly need your help to be able to sustain this life-giving ministry. Would you consider giving a major contribution to Rehoboth/Feeding Program to help us get up and running? Perhaps you would be led to make it a monthly offering. Or maybe you or your church could agree to cover one of our ten months? We want to fill those hungry bellies!
