Hey, everyone! I’m John Adams, Pritchard and Dana’s son. I’m writing to let you know that I am coming on board to work for Rehoboth Ministries. I will be living and working in the U.S., but my primary responsibilities will involve tracking finances, raising support, and communicating with leaders in Haiti and donors elsewhere. Beginning in September, I will be available to speak at supporting churches.
Many of you already know me. For those who don’t, please allow me a brief introduction. I was born and raised in Haiti. I was there from the day my Dad planted his first church in 1990 and sat on the family pew until 2003, when I went to Portland Bible College. After a decade in the United States, I returned to Haiti in 2013 and taught theology at the Bible college my Dad helped found until 2022. Due to the deteriorating security situation in Haiti, I moved back to the U.S. that year. For the last couple of years, I have been living in North Carolina and working at a public school. This year, I will be moving over to Rehoboth to help my Mom carry the burden she has been carrying for years.
Currently, Rehoboth is in a time of transition. We are moving from a first-generation model of missionary administration and support to a second-generation model of self-sufficiency and replication. Part of my responsibility at Rehoboth will be to help execute that transition. Transitions are never easy anywhere, but Haiti poses special challenges that will require much wisdom. Thanks to you all of you who are reading this for your support and encouragement. I ask that you would keep me in your prayers as I begin to do this work.
